
Mike Pearson
CHAIRMAN
Hello! My name is Mike Pearson and I am excited to serve on the board of SCA. I am a native of Oconee County. I graduated from Clemson University in 1985 and retired from the School District of Oconee County in 2016. During my time in the district, I served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, director and assistant superintendent. My last 12 years were spent as the Director at Hamilton Career Center. In retirement, I am currently serving as the College and Career Navigator for Adult Education.
I have been married to my wife Denise for 37 years. She taught at Walhalla Middle School for 35 years. We have two daughters, Jessi and Erin, and 4 grandchildren: Sarah Kate, Brandon, Zach, and Chase.
I feel that God has blessed me with the gifts of teaching and encouraging others, and I am happy to be a part of SCA.

Sarah Rochester
VICE-CHAIR
My name is Sarah Rochester, and I was born and raised in Walhalla, SC. I am married to Matt, and we have two boys, Mason and Zeke. We live in Oakway on the Rochester family farm and we raise beef cattle.

I previously taught as a Special Education teacher for 14 years. In 2021, I joined the staff at LifePoint Church as one of the youth directors. I love working with students and families to help them grow as individuals and as followers of Jesus.

I am thrilled to be a part of the SCA family and cannot wait to see how God continues to bless this organization!

Tyler Bibb
TREASURER
My name is Tyler Bibb and I am excited to be a part of the SCA board. I grew up in the Oconee County area, attending local public schools and ultimately graduating from Clemson University in 2013. After college, I started working for LifePoint Church as the Youth Pastor and have since moved into a connections role, where I help people connect with community and acts of service.
I have been married to my wife Victoria for 6 years and we have a little 3 year old boy named Bowen. Victoria works for Prisma Heath as an Associate Analyst, but we both have a desire to serve people in this community and I am happy to serve and be a part of the SCA family.

Tanya Colgrove
SECRETARY
Hello my name is Tanya Colegrove and my husband is Dale Colegrove. I was born in Bermuda and came to the United States when I was 4 years old. I lived in Georgia until I was 22 then came to South Carolina to be closer to my grandparents. Dale & I have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. I have been an entrepreneur for 20 years and together my husband and I own DCT Detection in Seneca. I attend church at The Well in Seneca and have been a trustee at our church for 8 years.
We love to take jeep rides, camp and travel and absolutely LOVE spending time with our friends & big family! We love going to Dollywood and Disney, and of we love watching Georgia football… Go Dawgs!
SCA has been a huge blessing to our family and our youngest Addyson Faith. I can’t wait to see all the blessings God has in store for the SCA family.

Christopher Hulsey
Christopher Hulsey is the Associate Pastor at Seneca Baptist Church and serves as a board member and liaison for Seneca Classical Academy. Christopher received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education degree from Anderson University. Christopher currently holds a K-12 teaching certificate for SC. He previously served 9 years as the Director of Choirs at West-Oak Middle School. At WOMS, Christopher was the advisor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where 130 students would gather each week to worship and learn more about Jesus before starting their school day. Christopher has also previously fulfilled his calling to ministry at churches throughout Oconee County alongside his wife, Haley. He has an 8-year-old daughter, Charlie, who attends SCA, and a 3-year-old son, Liam.

Kim Jedlicka
My name is Dr. Kim Jedlicka. I have a varied background in the field of education. I spent 21 years working in Anderson School District 4. I have taught special education grades K-6, and I have taught third grade for ten years. I have served as an assistant principal and principal at the elementary school level. I worked in the School District of Oconee County in a variety of capacities such as the Director of Teaching and Learning and the Director of Federal Programs. Immediately before coming to Southern Wesleyan University eight years ago, I served as the Director of Teacher and Personnel Services for the School District of Oconee.
I love the field of teaching, and I have a passion for working with students in high poverty schools. I have made numerous presentations on teaching writing at the elementary level, school leadership, teacher motivation and morale, co-teaching, inclusion classrooms, teaching in high poverty schools and instructional coaching.
Of all the jobs I have had within the field of education, serving as a professor at Southern Wesleyan University has been my favorite! God has definitely placed this calling on my life and his given me a heart for college students. I am rewarded and blessed beyond measure! In the spring of 2020, I was extremely humbled and honored to be named the Southern Wesleyan University Faculty Member of the Year and the recipient of the Ken Dickens Award for Teaching Excellence.
