Why SCA?
Discover why SCA may be the place for your family.

We implement a classical, hybrid approach to education.
Our Model
CLASSICAL EDUCATION
Classical education focuses on teaching students how to think, not just what to think. It follows the natural stages of development—laying a strong foundation of knowledge in the early years, nurturing understanding and reasoning in the middle years, and helping students learn to express themselves with wisdom and grace as they mature. Rooted in a biblical worldview, the classical education taught at SCA seeks to cultivate a love for truth, and the ability to think deeply and communicate clearly—all to bring glory to God.

HYBRID APPROACH
At SCA, our hybrid approach combines the best of classroom learning and homeschooling. Students attend on-campus classes two to three days a week with experienced teachers, then complete meaningful assignments at home on the other days under the guidance of their parents. This flexible model allows families to stay deeply involved in their children’s education, supports personalized learning, and builds strong critical thinking skills.

ENRICHMENT
Enrichment Day at SCA offers kindergarten through 8th grade students a chance to explore hands-on learning, creative projects, and collaborative experiences beyond the core curriculum taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Held once a week, Enrichment Day includes classes like art, music, STEM, physical education, and special interest topics—all taught from a biblical worldview. Students discover new interests, build friendships, and enjoy the wonder of learning in a fun environment.

SCA has served the community in the Seneca area since 2021.
Our Story
During the pandemic, Angie Henderson and Brittany Beaumont noticed that many parents in their community were struggling to find an educational model that offered both flexibility and strong academics. With Angie’s background in educational leadership and Brittany’s experience in nonprofit leadership, the two partnered to create a hybrid, classical school that would serve families in the Seneca area. In 2021, Seneca Classical Academy opened its doors with 40 students and eight staff members. By the Lord's grace, it has grown to more than 300 students and over 50 devoted staff.

At SCA, students and staff not only work hard in the classroom but also enjoy meaningful moments of fellowship, creativity, and celebration. From the Fall Festival and Christmas Market to enrichment days and the high school formal, the school calendar is filled with opportunities to make memories and deepen relationships.

But the heart of SCA is not found in events or academics—it is found in the mission to point students to Jesus Christ. In a world that is constantly shifting, SCA is anchored in the unchanging truth of God’s Word. Psalm 32:8 says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” We find great comfort in knowing that God is leading each step of the way, guiding and watching over every detail. Our prayer is that every student, staff member, and family would learn to trust His voice more deeply as they grow in faith.

As SCA looks to the future, we believe that God is not finished with the work He is doing at our school, and we trust Him to guide each step to come.
